Reading Development Courses

The Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) Service will again be running courses for parents to
support children with dyslexia and those who have become reluctant readers as a result of difficulties
encountered in reading.

The course aims at giving parents hands-on strategies for the further development of reading. During the course, parents will be given an overview of the reading books available at the SpLD library and will be able to discuss a variety of reading techniques to support their children.

Aims: Reading and ICT: How can ICT improve reading? What are the benefits? What makes a good reading site?

Aims: What comes after?: What activities can follow a reading session? How do I measure progress? How do I know if my child is ready for the next level?
