Last Chance to Apply for Skolasajf 2015

The Foundation for Educational Services announced that due to great demand for Skolasajf 2015, it is extending the registration period for another week between Monday 1st June and Saturday 6th June.

A soft copy of the application may be downloaded from the Ministry of Education Website or FES Facebook page.

Application forms can also be collected from any Klabb 3-16 Centre or from any Maltapost Branch. Registrations and payments can only be effected at any Maltapost Branch.

The summer programme caters for school-age children aged between 3-16 years attending State, Church and Independent Schools and will be offered in 63 Skolasajf centres around Malta and Gozo. Skolasajf 2015 will run from 13th July to 4th September 2015, without a break.

Due to construction works at the Għargħur Primary School, the Għargħur Skola Sajf Centre will be operating from Naxxar Primary School. Transport will be provided daily and FREE OF CHARGE. Supervision on bus will be provided. Pickup point is in front of Għargħur Parish Church at 08:00am. Transport will leave Naxxar school at 12:30pm. It is important to apply for “Għargħur centre” in order to book transport.

The core programme for ALL centres is between 8.30am and 12.30pm. Extended hours will be available in selected Skolasajf Centres and this service will be offered between 7:00 a.m.- 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. – 5.30 p.m.. This is available to children whose parents both are in employment. The registration fee for Skolasajf Core Programme (8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.) is €25 for the whole programme. Parents/Guardians who opt for extended hours will be asked to make use of centres that offer extended hours against an additional payment of €0.80c to the hour.

A team of dedicated and professionally trained personnel runs each Skolasajf Centre. Each centre has a co-ordinator, who is responsible for the overall running of the respective centre and play-workers who organise hands-on, fun activities such as arts and crafts, cooking, story-telling, musical activities, sports and an educational quiz.
